Black Mountain Instruments / Standard Wood Dulcimers

These finished dulcimers are in the traditional hourglass
shape with the exception of Model 71 which is a teardrop shape.
They all feature scroll heads, heartshaped sound holes,
fourstring set up, nickel/silver fretted fingerboards
with strum hollow, quality mechanical tuning machines and solid wood
tops and backs. Each have a lacquered, hand-rubbed
finish. Length, width, and depth are 32" x 7 1/2" x 2 5/8". Scale
length" is 25 7/8".

Model 56
This dulcimer comes with a solid Spruce top and Mahogany
back, sides and fingerboard. Standard geared tuners.
Model 58
The top of this instument is solid Cedar and the back,
sides and fingerboard are American Cherrywood. Deluxe geared tuners.
Model 58 Deluxe
This model has a solid Redwood or Cedar top, Cherry back and sides,
with a Rosewood fingerboard with mother-of-pearl position dots.
There is an inlaid Rosewood stripe down the center of the two-piece
bookmatched back which continues up the scroll shaped head. Deluxe
geared tuners.
Model 51
The 51 has a rare Black Walnut back and sides with a Redwood
top. The Walnut fingerboard has mother-of-pearl position dots and both the top and back are bookmatched.

Model 71
The 71 has a rare Black Walnut back and sides with a Redwood
top. The Walnut fingerboard has mother-of-pearl position dots and both the top and back are bookmatched.
