Black Mountain Instruments / Standard Wood Dulcimers
These all solid wood dulcimers are in the traditional hourglass
shape with the exception of Model 71 which is a teardrop shape.
They all feature scroll heads, four string set up, nickel/silver fretted fingerboards
with strum hollow, quality chrome mechanical tuning machines. Each have a lacquered, hand-rubbed
finish and include the 6 1/2 and 13 1/3 "extra frets".
Length, width, and depth are 32" x 7 1/2" x 2 5/8". Scale
length" is 25 7/8".
Model 56
This dulcimer comes has a solid Spruce top with heart shaped soundholes, and solid Luan Mahogany
back, sides and fingerboard. Chrome geared tuners.
Model 58
The top of this instument is solid Cedar with heart shaped soundholes, and the back,
sides and fingerboard are American Cherrywood. Chrome geared tuners.
Model 58 Deluxe
This model has a solid dark Cedar top with heart shaped soundholes, Cherry back and sides, Rosewood fingerboard with mother-of-pearl position dots.
There is an inlaid Rosewood stripe down the center of the two-piece
bookmatched back. Chrome geared tuners.
Model 51
The 51 has solid Black Walnut back and sides with a solid Spruce
top with heart shaped soundholes. The fingerboard is walnut.

Model 51D
The 51Deluxe has a Black Walnut bookmatched back with a maple/rosewood/maple center stripe inlay, walnut sides with a select solid spruce
top with heart shaped soundholes. The Rosewood fingerboard has mother-of-pearl position dots.

Model 71
The Teardrop shaped Model 71 has Black Walnut back and sides and a spruce
top with "f" shaped soundholes. The fingerboard is walnut .

Model 71D
The Teardrop shaped Model 71Deluxe has a Black Walnut bookmatched back with a maple/rosewood/maple center stripe inlay, walnut sides and a spruce
